Los Angeles – The transgressions of Tiger Woods have proved too much to take for one of the golf superstar's most fanatical fans, who is now disbanding a church set up in praise of the sports icon.

John Ziegler, the pastor of the First Church of Tiger Woods (www.tigerwoodsisgod.com), has announced in a statement on the blog that the organisation is being dissolved because of the golfer's "personal sins".

The church, whose home page has now been renamed The Damnation of Tiger Woods, was launched by radio host Ziegler in 1996 to "celebrate the emergence of the 'true messiah'".

However, the lurid revelations that have swirled around Woods since last week have left Ziegler so disenchanted that he is now ending his church, which has its own Prayer for Tiger and Ten Tiger Commandments.

(CNN) - Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood was released on bail Thursday after being arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.

The 62-year-old was arrested near his home in southern England on Wednesday and spent the night in police custody before being released.

"I can confirm that there was an incident last night and that Ronnie Wood was arrested," a spokesman for the musician said, adding that he did not have any further details.

As the case is under investigation, police have said little. They have not stated who filed the assault complaint .

Wood will face police questioning again in January.

The assault charge follows Wood's highly publicized divorce last month from his wife of 24 years, Jo, on grounds of adultery. The divorce settlement set Wood back an estimated £6.5 million ($10.7 million). He and Jo have two children.

Wood has reportedly been dating a 20-year-old Russian cocktail waitress, Ekaterina Ivanova, for a year.

With Relapse: Refill due out later this month, Eminem has opened up to Complex about a variety of topics, including the addiction that threatened his life, Michael Jackson, Lil Wayne and internet porn. The big news, however, is that Em’s planned Relapse 2 is still in the works despite the release of Refill, and that the reason the sequel to Eminem’s comeback LP was delayed was because the music just kept getting better as Em moved further away from his addiction.

“When I finished Relapse, I had a whole album of material that didn’t make it that I wasn’t ready to throw away, so that was going to be Relapse 2. But then I got with Dre in Hawaii and started recording more, and now the new material has knocked out all the old songs,” Eminem tells Complex.

...Eminem also found similarities between the depths of his own addiction and the death of Michael Jackson. Eminem’s reliance on prescription medicine is well-documented throughout Relapse — he blames his Vicodin addiction for his massive weight gain during the hiatus — and says being a celebrity with the amount of fame Jackson had could be fatal. “I definitely can relate, and it’s a shame if he didn’t have anybody there to just say, ‘Michael, you’re an addict, you need help,’” says Em, who famously poked fun of Jackson in his 2004 video for “Just Lose It.” “It’s one of the pitfalls of fame.”

(People.com) - As far as ABC is concerned, the controversy surrounding Adam Lambert still hasn't cooled down enough for him to be handled. For the second time, the network has cancelled an appearance by the onetime American Idol favorite.

"Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE," Lambert, 27, wrote on his Twitter account. ":( don't blame them. It's the FCC heat."

The singer's racy American Music Awards performance earned the FCC and the network thousands of complaints from viewers who thought his homoerotic gyrations inappropriate for TV.

ABC quickly nixed an appearance on "Good Morning America," saying his stage style was not suited for a morning show - a move Lambert took in good humor.

As for the latest snub from ABC, he was still grinning and baring it - and looking forward to a gig on NBC and New Year's possibilities.

"I AM doing Leno though. And lookin into something for NYE," he Tweeted. "It'll all blow over. Let's focus on being positive! "

At this point, the openly gay "American Idol" star, who hasn't waded into the charges that ABC is caving into homophobia, probably doesn't want to hear advice from British actor Rupert Everett, who told the British newspaper The Observer that he wishes he'd never come out.

"The fact is that you could not be, and still cannot be, a 25-year-old homosexual trying to make it in the British film business or the American film business or even the Italian film business," Everett, 50, says. "It just doesn't work and you're going to hit a brick wall at some point. You're going to manage to make it roll for a certain amount of time, but at the first sign of failure they'll cut you right off."

He adds: "Honestly, I would not advise any actor necessarily, if he was really thinking of his career, to come out."

(CNN) President Obama called on business leaders Thursday to help the administration kickstart hiring as policymakers contend with rising unemployment that's weighing down the economy.

Some 130 executives, economists, small business owners and non-profit officials gathered for the afternoon jobs summit at the White House on the eve of the government's November unemployment report. The nation is expected to have lost another 114,000 jobs, with unemployment remaining at 10.2%, the highest in 26 years, according to an economists' survey.

"While I believe that government has a critical role in creating the conditions for economic growth, ultimately true economic recovery is only going to come from the private sector," Obama said. "We don't have enough public dollars to fill the hole of private dollars that was created as a consequence of the crisis."

Traditionally it’s a divorce that makes a financial dent for a wealthy athlete like Tiger Woods. But it appears that in Tiger’s case, it’s going to cost him to stay with his wife, Elin Nordegren, the mother of their two children.

When the couple married on Oct. 5, 2004, at the Sandy Lane resort in Barbados, Elin signed a prenuptial agreement reportedly worth $20 million after 10 years of marriage, not considered a large payout for someone who was already as successful as Tiger by then. (The tightlipped Woods camp, almost obsessive about releasing any personal information after Tiger’s blundering interviews with GQ in 1997, has never acknowledged the existence of the first prenup, although it’s been widely reported).

But in light of a string of women coming forward to say they had affairs with Tiger since his marriage, Elin has demanded that the prenup be rewritten, Chicago Sun-Times columnist Bill Zwecker reported Wednesday. “The links legend’s spouse is reportedly being paid a hefty seven-figure amount—immediately transferred [sic] into an account she alone controls—to stick with her husband,” Zwecker wrote. “At this point, the couple needed to remain married for 10 years in order for Woods’ wife to collect a splitsville settlement of $20 million. I’m being told that time frame has been shortened—and the dollar amount increased ‘substantially.’”

You leave your house and drive your car into a tree, 911 is called, the authorities become involved, and the incident cannot be contained by the walls of your estate or the iron grip of your publicist. Like Michaele and Tareq Salahi, the socialites and Real Housewives of D.C. aspirants who swanned into the White House on Nov. 24, you do doughnuts on the lawn of notoriety and smack head-on into the tree of shamelessness. Then you take pictures of the steaming wreck and post them on Facebook while touting your availability for "national and international" product endorsements. Woods is an example of the former, whom you might also know as "people who are famous for actually doing things." Attention controllers' fame derives from some public competence; their private lives are used as complementary assets (setting the photo ops, selling the baby pics), but with tight boundaries.
