<title>Fantasy Positional Rankings: Running Back</title>
<link>http://rss.cnn.com/~r/rss/si_fantasy/~3/344858580/index.html</link>
<description>No position is more important in fantasy football than running back and landing a superstar RB is one of the safest ways to get to the winner's circle in your league. Teams that have been fortunate enough to land one of the top picks always seem to have an advantage because a player like LaDainian Tomlinson is almost impossible to duplicate. But the good news this year is that the RB position is very deep this year and talent can be found more easily in the fourth and fifth rounds than in years past.

<title>Will Carroll: NFL preseason injury prognoses</title>
<link>http://rss.cnn.com/~r/rss/si_fantasy/~3/345001541/index.html</link>
<description>As players across the country start digging into the data and looking at the latest expert's draft advice, there's one factor that's going to keep coming up: injuries. Sure, I'm biased since this is my beat, but while Vince Lombardi famously said that football was a collision sport, fantasy football is about collision avoidance. A top pick and good research will help you win the league, but what usually wins is having a team that isn't forced to scramble for an injury replacement.

<title>Ankiel, Longoria grow into full-fledged fantasy superstars</title>
<link>http://rss.cnn.com/~r/rss/si_fantasy/~3/345038761/index.html</link>
<description>After the festivities at the All-Star break, Major League Baseball has reached the next season landmark. Several teams have played their 100th game of the year. At this point in the season, there are few secrets left to uncover when it comes to breakthrough players. The months ahead may provide a few late season call-ups who can make an impact, but rather than focus on the unknown, let's take a look at three players who have already enjoyed special performances this season. In this week's article, we offer the projections of three players who have surpassed preseason expectations, and now must be considered fantasy studs. The results will provide you with an idea of where some of the newest stars rank. Can you identify the fantasy stars based on their statistics alone? Feel free to Name That Game!

<title>Destination is key for this year's trade targets</title>
<link>http://rss.cnn.com/~r/rss/si_fantasy/~3/343869214/index.html</link>
<description>Of all the major sports, baseball has changed the least over the decades. Baseball has more continuity, allowing for comparisons of players from different eras. You can't do this in football. For example, Johnny Unitas' statistics do not compare at all to Peyton Manning's. Heck, Unitas doesn't even compare to Jeff Garcia. Football has changed too much for the statistics to be meaningful between eras.

<title>Small market teams turning focus on trading assets</title>
<link>http://rss.cnn.com/~r/rss/si_fantasy/~3/343919869/index.html</link>
<description>Let's flash back to early May, when there were happier times for Jimmy and Sarah. At that time, of the 11 small market teams with payrolls under $70 million, four of them lead their respective divisions, two of them were in second place, and all but two were still in their division races. That situation has changed ... slightly. Two lead their respective divisions, two are just a half game back, two are looking up at the best team in baseball, one is in the race at 14 games under .500, and the rest are essentially out of it. However, asking prices are up. This crop of GMs isn't giving away something for nothing. So don't expect the fire sales of the past, as many small market teams seem to believe they're closer to competitiveness than you might expect. Some are right, and some, sadly, are the Washington Nationals.
